6-DOF Robot Arm
This is a 6 axis robot arm with commercial harmonic drives, Nema17 stepper motors, and closed-loop drivers. This robot meets three requirements:
- High Payload capacity: 3 kg
- Low Repeatability: 10um or less
- Simple Mechanical/Electronics design

Note
This is not a low cost robot. Each harmonic drive is ~$150 or more. The robot has been tested with most components being manufactured in metal (aluminum/steel). 3D printing is possible, however, stiffness performance will be severely degraded unless design changes are implemented.
